Do this to be super efficient!
We have several work/personal tasks to do daily, but always slack on finishing tasks. There are many blogs and ideas out there which suggest methods to track your tasks efficiently.
In today’s story I will talk about what worked for me. I have been following this routine for 1000 days now.
Note: This is not my own idea, I formed my own method out of several methods discussed on the internet
Too many tasks! Too many apps! Too many distractions!
We have apps like calendar, TODO apps, tracking apps.
If you use TODO/Tracking apps on your mobile, its an easy distraction. As soon as you unlock your mobile, bam there are notifications from instagram, whatsapp, etc. and we can easily get distracted. Raise your hand, if your TODO apps are rotting.
A busy work/personal calendar is impossible to track!

Pen and Paper
I am sucker for task tracking methods! I tried several apps, several methodologies over the years and finally one and only thing worked for me. Go back to pen and paper for your Tasks!
I always carry my favorite pen and B6 sized booklet with me everyday for my Work or Personal Tasks.
Daily priorities
A human being can only perform certain number of tasks in a day. For me its an average of 7 tasks daily. Let me show you a sample task list and how you can track.
Here we see a date, a day counter, a list of tasks and some tracking symbols/signals!

The date and day counter helps me be motivated as I progress to do this religiously everyday!
The tracking symbols can be used to track completion, postpone, delegation, etc. See an example symbol legend below.

This legend shows a way to add symbols to your text. Strike through is for example completed task, a squiggle strike through is for postponed or delegated tasks, etc. You can also define your own custom tracking symbols!
You can define your own symbols, instead of striking the text, you can add bubbles/checkboxes at the beginning of your task and full the bubbles/boxes with appropriate signals/symbols to define the status of the task!
If some tasks are not finished, mark them as postponed and add it to the day when the task again takes priority! This automatically shuffles your tasks around without the need for an App!
I am super efficient!
While for some these systems seems silly, I worked wonders for me.I am on my 1000th day and it has become my daily routine. In very rare cases when I miss to fill tasks at the beginning of the day, I fill them by the noon.
I realized that I can perform 7 tasks daily efficiently! I am super efficient!
Try it yourself and let me know how it worked for you! If it helped you, what customization you did to the system to suit you :)
